Q: How long will a fabric awning last?
A: Today’s manufacturers of residential awning fabrics generally warrant them for five years. With maintenance and care, they could last even longer.The metal frames will last a lifetime.
Q: Are there different types of awning fabrics?
A: As with many products on the market today there are also many types of awning fabric. However, TCT&A Industries only offers the best fabrics for awning project. The cost between the best quality and lower grade fabric is not in the clients’ best interest for TCT&A Industries to offer the lower grade.
Q: Does the color affect the cooling offered by awnings?
A: Since awnings are covering windows and patio decks and are outside, there is minimal heat build-up and usually the heat dissipates with the movement of air.
Q: Do I have a choice of colors in awning fabrics?
A: Yes. Awning fabrics come in more than 350 solid and striped patters. Visit our site section showing all the colors available.
Q: Will my awning give me water and weather protection?
A: Generally, today’s awning fabrics are considered water-repellent, not waterproof. Water-repellent awning and patio canopies will allow you to enjoy your deck or patio during most weather conditions.
Q: How do I know how much an awning or patio canopy will cost?

Q: Are they easy to install?
A: Yes. Any do-it-yourselfer will have no trouble following our instructions. All TCT&A Industries awnings, patio canopies and retractable come with complete instructions featuring step by step explanations and photos on how to install.
Q: What kind of tools will I need?
A: Generally, you will need a 8’ladder (6’ if your are working no more than 9’ off the ground), a tape measure, a 3/8″ electric revisable drill, an assortment of drill bits, a pencil, a screwdriver, and a level. Tool requirements do change for different awning installations. Each of our products has a complete tool list. Installing SunShelter retractable awning requires an additional ladder and a ratchet/socket set.

Q: What do you mean when you say custom sewing?
A: There are many companies that have a need for sewn fabric products but do not have the expertise nor the equipment to produce a finished sewn product. Example, BBQ grill covers — a company can cut, weld, grind, paint and deliver a perfect BBQ grill, but the client wants a fabric cover to fit “that” grill. We will help design and manufacture a perfect fitting cover.
Q: How can I find out if my product or idea can be made?
A: That simple. Just fax or send a drawing or sketch to us and one of our design coordinators will contact you and help custom design your idea and estimate the cost.

Q: What are industrial products?
A: Industrial products are similar to custom sewn products. However, the major difference is that the product is generally used in industries and is produced by many companies. The company buying the product, like flat tarps, needs another source because the current vendor cannot fill their requirements. Thus, they look for another company like TCT&A Industries as a back up supplier.
Q: How can I find out if you are already producing a partricular fabric product?
A: You can contact us by call 800-252-1355 and ask to speak with our industrial sales department. They will tell you if we currently manufacture a particular product. If we are not, they will recommend alternatives to help solve your problem or meet your needs.

Terms, Conditions and Limited Warranty of Sale
All prices, terms and conditions of sale are subject to change without prior notice. Buyer agrees to all terms and conditions of seller upon the placement of any and all purchase orders.
- All claims must be made within 15 (fifteen) days of receipt of merchandise.
- All orders require payment in full in advance of custom manufacturing and shipping.
- All shipments will be made F.O.B. to shipping point.
- For all other orders that require some form of prepayment, charges will be paid directly by the buyer.
Acceptance, Alteration and Cancellation of Orders
- Orders of products custom manufactured to meet buyer’s needs and requirements may not be cancelled for any reason after purchase has been committed.
- Any changes requested by the buyer must be in writing and may result in additional charges.
Return of Defective Merchandise
Defective or failed material is to be held at the buyer’s premises until authorization has been granted by seller to return or dispose of merchandise. Merchandise to be returned for final inspection must be returned Freight Prepaid in the most economical way. Credit will be issued for material found
to be defective upon our inspection based on prices at time of purchase.
Merchandise Shipped in Error
Buyer must notify seller immediately of any merchandise shipped in error. Upon notification, merchandise is to be returned to seller either via truck on a Freight Collect basis, via carrier of our choice, or via UPS on a Freight Prepaid basis. Buyer will be reimbursed for cost of merchandise, plus any
additional freight which may have been incurred due to shipping error after review of returned goods is made.
Merchandise Ordered in Error
Only standard packaged merchandise may be returned, providing that the merchandise is in the original buyer’s possession not more than 30 days. If merchandise is accepted for return and buyer has been given a Return Goods Authorization Number, merchandise must be returned Freight Prepaid, and buyer will be charged a minimum of 20% handling charge, plus a chargeback for outbound freight charges providing the original order was shipped prepaid. Returns are not accepted for any merchandise that is specifically manufactured to meet the buyer’s requirement of either specifications or large quantity.
Delivery, Damages, Shortages
Delivery to the initial common carrier shall constitute the delivery to the buyer. Our responsibility, insofar as transportation risks are concerned, ceases upon the delivery of the merchandise in good condition to such a carrier, and all the merchandise shall be shipped at the buyer’s risk.
Goods Damaged in Shipment
Upon receipt of shipment, any evidence of damage to original shipping package must be reported by the receiving party and a claim made with the delivering carrier upon receipt of shipment.
Any evidence of damage to material shipped, upon the opening of the original shipping package, must be reported by the receiving party to and a claim made with the delivering carrier without delay.
The merchandise or products sold or distributed by TCT&A Industrial are warranted to our customers to be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of shipment. All warranty claims shall be made within 90 days after receipt of merchandise. Our liability hereunder is limited to the purchase price of any merchandise proved defective, or, at our option, to the replacement or repair of such merchandise upon its authorized return to us.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE CREATED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY AND THE WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS.
